Habit #1. You must sleep! Normal sleep means uninterrupted sleeping for 7 to 8 hours, without the help of medications. The reason this is so important is because of your hormones; more specifically, your fat-burning hormones. Growth hormone is produced by your liver, and peaks during deep sleep between 12 midnight and 4AM. If you are getting up, you are interrupting this very important hormone! When this happens, you break the fat-burning cycle. So, if you are having trouble with your sleep - this could be why your weight-loss program isn’t working as well as it should. Making sure your sleep pattern is good is one of the most important habits to create sustainable weight loss, and maintain it!
